After witnessing 100,000+ people gather in San Francisco on Saturday (photo link here), I felt inspired by the Women’s March and those pink hats. I started by digging into my horde of unused art postcards, got out the pussy hat pink paint, and these are the results. Here is some of today’s outgoing mail art.

Is it okay to rename Joshua Reynolds’ portrait originally titled Lady Cockburn and her Three Eldest Sons? Last year I paid a dollar for an old guide from London’s National Gallery. Today’s outgoing mail art includes some Chinese New Year mail art celebrating the Year of the Rooster and including the cool postage stamps for the event from the USPS. This is a series of 17 for 2017, plus 17 is one of my lucky numbers and we are in need of a lot of good luck to get through the year ahead. Happy New Year!

One final trip to the post office box last week and it was time for the 2016 Mail Art finale including these arrivals:
- Holiday greetings from MIM.
- Pamela Gerard’s Ohh Christmas Tree card.
- Peggy Eigler’s hand-cut mail art.
- Christmas greetings form Katerina Nikoltsou.
- Mail art from Adrienne Mason.
- A new piece from Torma Cauli.
- And Jennifer Utter sent mail art that might even get rid of fleas.
Now it is time to get started on the first mail art project for 2017.
