My holiday-themed card/mail art is usually unconventional, and this year is no exception. But what better thing to celebrate in California than with a good wet winter. So far, we are well on track. I spent a rainy weekend indoors carving rubber stamps and printing these handmade postcards. Happy Holidays!

Celebrate the Rain
My holiday-themed card/mail art is usually unconventional, and this year is no exception. But what better thing to celebrate in California than with a good wet winter. So far, we are well on track. I spent a rainy weekend indoors carving rubber stamps and printing these handmade postcards. Happy Holidays!

December Mail
My holiday
cards have all been sent on their way and it’s time to show off some of the
mail art that I have been receiving.
Among the Christmas cards and other goodies here are some of the latest
arrivals:
- R.F. Côté postcard features what I assume is some wintery Canadian yoga?
- Dori Singh sent a hand-stitched holiday card.
- Autumnal greetings arrived from Katerina Nikoltsou in Greece.
- Margarete Miller repurposed a Pantone postcard.
- Polaroid-themed mail art from Melissa Wand.
- Hungarian bicycle dudes from Torma Cauli.
- Jane Gravois sent a collaged holiday greeting.
- Fleur Helsingor’s latest piece references the recycled art at the Albany Bulb.
- Robin Sparrow sent an amazing, hand-made, pop-up book/Christmas card. I think it is safe to say she wins the holiday card prize for 2017.
- And finally, another groovy envelope piece from Marina Salmaso.

Happy Holidays 2012!
There is a reason you save all those old Christmas cards and
the stamps off the envelopes. Below
is one of the pieces for the 2011
Project made with old Christmas cards
from when I was very little. And
this year’s card (shown above) includes stamps that I have been saving for
years.
